Check the state of charge of the batteries; their open-circuit voltage must not be below
1.4 V. (Battery type: "LR 1" , 2 pieces). The transmitting power of the hand-held
transmitter decreases continuously as the batteries become older. This means a
reduction in range of approx. 30

 after a service period of 1.5 years.

Never use rechargeable nickel-cadmium (NC) or nickel-metal-hydrid (NIMH) batteries,
because they have an operating voltage of only 1.2 V.

The receiving power of the aerial is reduced if the rear window is covered by some
object, ice or snow.
