5 Series E39 528i (M52) SAL
Pull pedal assembly (approx. 3 cm) inwards until screws of master
cylinder are accessible.
Release screws.
Remove clips (1).
Detach piston rod (2) from pin.
Installation:
Grease pin.
Replace self-locking nuts. Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 21 52 4AZ.
Remove clutch pedal from pedal assembly.
Important!
Install clutch pedal of same design.
A = Clutch pedal with lever (1)
B = Clutch pedal without lever
Fit pedal rubber (2) on new clutch pedal.
Installation:
Check bearing bushes and replace if necessary.
Grease bearing bushes,
Grease pin.
Version with torsion spring:
Installation:
Grease inside of torsion spring coil.
Leg (1) of torsion spring must rest at rear against pedal
assembly.
