Fault 06 Park heating metering pump
Test precondition:
Overheating protection not active. Voltage supply at independent parking heater O.K.
Coolant temperature < 40

Vehicle tank adequately filled.
Instruction:
Switch on independent parking heater via MID or on-board monitor.
Check clock pulse at metering pump 32 seconds after switching on independent parking heater.

Can clock pulse be heard at
metering pump?
No
Fault 6.1
Yes
Disconnect fuel hose at independent
parking heater and start independent
heater several times if necessary
until fuel emerges at heater
connection.
To measure delivery capacity, start
independent parking heater twice
and measure fuel quantity for 60
seconds at a time. Project metering
quantity for 1 hour.
Is a metering quantity of 650 ml/h
±
10
%
reached?
No
Fault 6.2
Yes
The metering pump is O.K.
