5 Series E39 540i (M62) SAL
Installation:
Check seals and replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste -CRC-, refer to BMW Parts
Service.
Unfasten hex nut (1/2).
Remove complete exhaust system.
Cars with primary catalytic converter on exhaust manifold only:
Release hexagon nuts (1) on exhaust pipe on left and right.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste -CRC-, refer to BMW Parts
Service.
Release hexagon nuts (1) on rear axle carrier.
Remove exhaust bracket (2).
