5 Series E39 540i (M62) SAL
Carefully insert knife at window guide (1) between door frame at
top and door window (2).
Run knife blade towards rear parallel to door window up to window
cavity.
Carefully press out door window.
Cut through glue bead at bottom with scalpel (1) and remove door
window.
Cut off old glue in body opening to a thickness of approx.
0.5 mm.
To avoid paintwork damage, carefully cut off glue residue with
scalpel.
Remove glue tape all round. Clean body aperture with 2-propanol.
Caution!
To provide long-term corrosion inhibition, damage to
paintwork (scratches and large areas of damage) should
always be touched up,
