Removing and installing/replacing exhaust
manifold, right (M62 VANOS from 9/98)
(Cylinder bank 1-4)
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Remove exhaust system.
Remove right heat baffle plate.
Disconnect plug connection to Lambda control sensor.
Release screw connection at exhaust manifold.
Note:
Remove exhaust manifold towards bottom.
Installation:
Replace seals.
Beads of seals face the exhaust manifold.
Coat thread with copper paste -CRC-.
Replace nuts.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 62 1AZ.
