5 Series E39 540i (M62) TOUR
Unscrew left and right nuts.
Unfasten stabilizer mount on front axle support.
Remove screw (1) and turn steering onto lock if necessary.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 12 13AZ.
Attach workshop hoist with special tool 31 2 220 and front axle
support.
Unscrew left and right bolts.
Remove front axle support.
Installation:
Front screw M12 X 107.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 10 1AZ.
Damaged thread,
refer to 31 00 ... Information.
Remove all parts (engine mount, sheet metal components etc.)
and fit to new front axle support.
RA Replacing front axle support (high)
