Removing and installing or replacing both left
exhaust manifolds (S62)
(Cylinder bank 5 to 8)
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Remove exhaust system.
Remove left heat baffle plate.
Unfasten nuts from left engine mount approx. 8 mm.
Installation:
Note guide lug (1).
Remove left intake filter,
refer to 13 71 010.
Note:
Release main flow oil filter from mounting, lines remain
connected.
This significantly facilitates access to the exhaust manifold
screw connection.
Fit special tool 00 0 200 to special
tool 00 0 201 / 202 / 204 / 208 and attach.
Suspend special tool 00 0 200 from front engine suspension
lug.
Note:
The supports (1) of special tool 00 0 208 must make
contact with the screws on the side walls.
