Screw in adjusting screw between throttle bodies 2 and 3 until
fork-shaped shim is free.
Remove shim.
Unscrew adjusting screw (1) between throttle bodies 2 and 3 until
both large dial gauge needles point to zero and small needles are
in previous position (roughly at 5).
By pulling on pull rod several times, slightly open throttles and
then close again.
Return throttles slowly to stops.
Check whether large needles always point to zero.
If necessary, make correction by turning adjusting screw.
Caution!
Permissible tolerance is
±
0.01 mm per dial gauge (space
between two strokes on large dial).
Check position of small needles.
Setting throttles on cylinder bank 5-8:
Note:
Set the throttles on cylinder bank 5-8 in the same way as
those on cylinder bank 1-4.
Begin setting on throttle pair 8/7.
The description of setting throttles 1 and 2 also applies to
setting throttles 8 and 7.
The description of setting throttles 3 and 4 also applies to
setting throttles 6 and 5.
