Removing and installing glass tilt sunroof lid
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove front trim
Note:
The following steps must be carried out on the opened glass
sunroof lid as otherwise the Torx screws will not be completely
released.
This also facilitates access for removal.
Open floating roofliner fully.
Make sure that grease on the rails and the mechanism does not
come into contact with the roofliner.
Remove and dispose of the Torx screws (1) securing the glass
sunroof lid to the front holders.
Remove and dispose of the Torx screws (1) securing the glass
sunroof lid to the side lifting mechanism and dispose of screw with
serrated lock washer.
Installation:
Use new Torx screws with 2.5 mm thick standard shims.
Carefully pull left and right outer gaiter (1) out of groove of glass
sunroof lid (2).
Partially raise glass sunroof lid.
Installation:
Align gaiter to rear edge of glass sunroof lid.
Press gaiter with plastic wedge into glass sunroof lid.
