7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Secure cylinder head bolts (1) with a cable tie (2) so that they do
not protrude over sealing face of cylinder head.
Carefully fit cylinder head.
Insert all cylinder head bolts.
Tighten down cylinder head bolts (moving outwards) in sequence
1 ... 10.
Tightening specifications,
refer to Technical Data 11 12 7AZ.
Tighten down three bolts on cylinder head at front.
Caution!
Cylinder head bolts 7 to 10 and 1 to 6 differ in diameter
(M10 and M12).
Use special tool 00 9 120 as a torsion angle bracket.
Tightening specifications,
refer to Technical Data 11 12 7AZ.
To prevent damage to valves when installing camshafts: rotate
crankshaft 45
