7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Installation:
-
At sealing face between end cover and crankcase, apply
a bead of Drei Bond 1209 sealing compound, refer to
BMW Parts Service, approx. 2 mm high and 3 mm wide.

Oil sump gasket must not be lubricated.
-
Install oil sump with a new gasket.

Observe different standard tightening torques of M6 and
M8 screws.

Insert all screws until contact is made with screw head in
each case.
-
Tighten down all screws diagonally and evenly.
