Removing and installing/replacing battery
positive lead (between starter motor,
alternator and battery positive connection
point)
Read fault memory.
Switch off ignition.
Observe safety instructions for handling vehicle battery.
Note:
Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery,
refer to General Information MG 12.
Release terminal clip for battery negative lead on battery.
Disconnect and cover battery negative lead.
Remove underbody panelling at front and rear.
Remove protective cap (1).
Unscrew nut (1).
Detach battery positive lead from positive connection point.
