7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Loosen screws (1).
Release retaining clip (2) on heat shield (3).
Remove heat shield (3) towards rear.
Unscrew nut (1).
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 41 4AZ.
Disconnect battery positive leads (2).
Installation:
Note routing of battery positive lead.
Battery positive lead (1) must pass between engine
block (2) and engine support arm (3).
Installation:
Read fault memory.
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
