7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Release hose clamp (1) and detach fuel hose (2).
Note:
Cylinder head cover is removed in this illustration.
Installation:
Replace hose clamp (1).
Release screws (1) on H.P. pump.
Disconnect plug of deactivation valve on H.P. pump.
Lay line (2) to one side and remove H.P. pump (3).
Installation:
Replace O-ring (1) if damaged.
To facilitate installation, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to
O-ring (1).
