Replacing left or right steering knuckle
Caution!
After assembly, measure and adjust front axle alignment.
Remove bearings (wheel hub),
refer to 31 21 180
Remove protective plate from steering knuckle.
Remove front impulse sensor (for ABS).
Unfasten nut.
Press off track rod with special tool 31 1 190.
Installation:
Ball stud and bore free of grease.
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 21 3AZ
Remove control arm,
refer to 31 12 001
Remove traction strut,
refer to 31 12 090
Remove steering knuckle.
