Adjusting center door, left or right side (E38
L7)
Note:
The flaps and doors are fitted and screwed into the
unfinished body shell.
Unpainted surfaces become visible after subsequent
movement.
These surfaces must be touched up with paint in the body
color.
Caution!
Keep to the sequence of procedures for correct alignment of
doors. Finish off door with door window etc.
Door settling behavior depends on weight!
Gap dimensions,
refer to 41 00 ... Gap dimensions of doors/hood and luggage
compartment lid
Always first adjust alignment of the rear door and then the
front door.
Adjust rear door to fit,
refer to 41 52 004
Adjust front doors to fit,
refer to 41 51 004

Preliminary work:
Open center door if necessary.
Open center door.
Note:
To open center door,
remove panel for top door pillar,
refer to 51 43 148
Loosen screws (1).
