Checking/adjusting contact angle of
windscreen wiper arms on windscreen
Special tools required:

00 9 230
•
00 9 331
Note:
When the contact angle of the windscreen wiper arms to the
windscreen is adjusted precisely, this will increase the wiping
quality.
Move windscreen wipers into rest position ("installation position").
Checking contact angle:
The following special tool is required to check the contact angle:

Left windscreen wiper: special tool 00 9 331
-
Right windscreen wiper: special tool 00 9 230
Relieve load on wiper blades before checking contact angle. To
do so, lift wiper blades briefly off windscreen before placing them
back on windscreen.
Wiper blades rest on markings on windscreen.
Place special tools in each case at height of pivot point of wiper
blade on windscreen.
