X Series E53 X5 3.0d (M57) OFFRD
Raise intake hood (1) approx. 5 cm.
Detach air ducts from fuel cooler (2), intake muffler and intake
hood (1).
Release screws (1).
Remove acoustic cover at front (2).
Note:
Photos similar to E53/M57.
Release nut (1) on starter motor.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 41 4AZ.
Disconnect battery positive lead (3) from starter motor.
Remove protective cap (1).
Release nut of battery positive lead (2) on alternator.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 31 1AZ.
Unclip battery positive lead (2) from holder (3).
Remove battery positive lead (2).
