Replacing (removing and installing) rear left
or right ride-height sensor

Important!

Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).

After installation:

Check headlight adjustment, correct if necessary

Version with ride-height control: Carry out ride-height-

calibration

Initialize Run Flat Indicator

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release nut (2) and disconnect jointed rod.

Tightening torque 37 14 7AZ

.

Release nut (3) and remove ride-height sensor with bracket.

Installation:

Align bracket by way of bore to centering pin (5) of threaded
plate.

Replace self-locking nut.

Tightening torque 37 14 11AZ

.

Replacement only:

Release screws and remove ride-height sensor from bracket.

Installation:

Ride-height sensor must be aligned to bracket so that sensor
lever (4) points outwards after ride-height sensor has been
installed.

Tightening torque 37 14 6AZ

.

After installation:

If necessary, bend bracket towards rear by

A = 3 to 4 mm to avoid a collision between eccentric bolt
and connection joining jointed rod to sensor lever

RA  Replacing (removing and installing) rear left or right ride-height sensor
