X Series E53 X5 4.8is (N62-S) OFFRD
Remove headliner.
Remove trim panel for instrument panel.
If head airbag is fitted in rear compartment (C-pillar airbag),
remove and install/replace head airbag in rear compartment on
left or right, refer to 72 12 ... .
Follow instructions for unlocking airbag plug connections.
Disconnect plug connection (1) on gas generator (2) for ITS head
airbag.
Unscrew nuts (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque 72 12 2AZ.
Remove gas generator (2) for ITS head airbag.
Release screw (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque 72 12 14AZ.
Release retaining screw (1) on A-pillar.
Retaining screw remains on anchor fitting.
Installation:
Tightening torque 72 12 4AZ.
