BMW Z Series E85 workshop manuals

BMW Z Series E85 at a glance: 9 manuals. Engine and chassis codes covered: N52, M54, S54, N46.

About the Z4 (E85)

The E85 is the roadster version of the first-generation Z4, made from 2002 to 2008 in Greer, South Carolina, as the Z3's replacement; a coupe (E86) was added in 2006. The Z4 M uses the S54 straight-six from the E46 M3.

What these manuals cover

  • Four-cylinder: the 2.0i (N46).
  • Six-cylinder: the 2.2i, 2.5i, 3.0i, 2.5si and 3.0si (M54, N52).
  • The Z4 M roadster (S54).

Tip: these are BMW factory manuals, listed by model, engine and body rather than by year. The code in brackets is the engine (M54, N52 and so on), and the last word is the body: SAL saloon, TOUR Touring (estate), COUPE, CONVER convertible, COMP Compact (hatchback), ROADST roadster, OFFRD for the X models. The Z3 that it replaced is in the E36 3 Series manuals.
