Alignment: Service and Repair
Preliminary Inspection

CHECK

1.

Ensure tires are inflated to correct pressure, and check for uneven wear.

2.

Check front wheel bearings and related suspension components for damage and replace as necessary, to eliminate improper alignment due to faulty
components.

3.

Check ball joints and tie rods.

4.

Check vehicle trim heights.

5.

Check steering gear for looseness at frame.

6.

Check struts for improper operation.

7.

Check for loose control arms.

8.

Check for loose or missing stabilizer shaft attachments.

ADJUSTMENTS

    When adjusting wheel alignment, always adjust both front and rear alignment, proceeding in the following order.

1.

Rear wheel camber

2.

Rear wheel toe and tracking

3.

Front wheel camber and toe.
