Engine Compartment Fuel Feed / Return Pipes
Fuel Pipes
WARNING: To Reduce the Risk of Fire and Personal Injury:

Do Not attempt to repair sections of nylon fuel pipes. If damaged, replace.

Identify the inlet and outlet of the engine compartment connecting pipes. The fuel pipes have formed bends and can only be installed in
one direction. If direction is reversed, chafing may result in a fuel leak.

If nylon fuel pipes become kinked, and cannot be straightened, they must be replaced.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Relieve fuel system pressure.

Refer to Fuel System / Service and Repair. See: Service and Repair
2. Quick connect fittings from chassis pipes and fuel rail.
3. Desired fuel pipe to be replaced.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Quick-connect fittings on new fuel pipe being replaced to fuel rail and chassis fuel pipes.
2. Tighten fuel filler cap.
3. Negative battery cable.
INSPECT
Turn the ignition switch to "ON," position for two seconds, then turn to "OFF" for 10 seconds. Again turn to "ON" position, and check for fuel
leaks.
