Window Retainer And Insulator
1. Retainer and insulators to glass.
a. Insert inboard face of insulator through hole in glass, fold outboard side of insulator around bottom of glass, and snap the faces together in the
glass pane hole.
b. Insert bottom of retainer plate into bottom insulator retaining tabs and rotate the top of the retainer toward the glass until the insulator snap tab
engages.
2. Glass in glass guidance module.
a. Provide power to window motor and move guide blocks to approximately 5 inches from full up position.
b. Insert window assembly through door beltline opening, aligning the glass insulators lower tabs to the guide block lower shelf rectangular holes.
c. Apply slight pressure on glass to ensure insulators remain engaged to the glass system guide blocks.
d. Move the guide blocks down to the glass bolt install position.
3. Loose install rear glass attach bolt.
4. Loose install front glass attach bolt.
5. Tighten rear attaching bolt and then front attaching bolt.
TIGHTEN

Attaching bolts to 9 Nm (75 lb. in.).
IMPORTANT: It is essential that the torque of glass attachment screws be checked within one minute after installation. Adhesive in the retainer
threaded hole will cure. Should a torque check indicate torque below specifications, replace screw to ensure proper clamp load. DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CORRECT TORQUE BY TIGHTENING EXISTING SCREW IN EXISTING RETAINER. Replace retainer and screw.
