DISASSEMBLE

1. Position strut compressor No. J-34013, or equivalent, in holding fixture J-3289-20. Use care not to damage spring coating.                                      

2. Position strut in strut compressor, then compress strut approximately  1/2 of its height. Use care not to bottom spring or damper rod.
3. Remove nut from strut dampener shaft, then position guide rod No. J-34013-27, or equivalent, on dampener shaft. Use guide rod No. J-34013-27,
