7. Shift cable grommet cover and cable cover at the floor pan and remove cables.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Route cables and install cable grommet cover.
Tighten
^
Cable cover bolts to 1.4 Nm (12 inch lbs.).
2. Cables to the control assembly using adjustable parallel jaw pliers.
3. Spring clips that hold the cables to the control assembly.
4. Carpet.
5. Cables to transaxle.
6. Connect both cables to each lever at the transaxle and cable bracket.
Tighten
^
Cable bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Cable bracket nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Shift boot, console and knob.
8. Negative battery cable.
