ALLANTE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE INCREASED TRAVEL
MODELS AFFECTED:
1990-1991 ALLANTES
Some 1990-1991 Allantes may experience a condition of increased travel of the inside door handle when opening the door. This condition may be
caused by an incorrect adjustment of the inside locking rod. To check the inside handle adjustment use the following procedure:
1.
Remove the armrest pad from the lower door panel.
2.
Lift the power window switch pod from the lower door panel.
3.
Disconnect the inside handle rod from the inside handle rod clip.

On a properly adjusted door handle the rod should fall 4 mm (one rod diameter) short of the handle rod clip. Refer to Figure 1. Adjust rod length
by turning threaded rod nut.
