Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
Test A: Both Coolant Fans Do Not Operate at All
A: BOTH COOLANT FANS DO NOT OPERATE AT ALL
1. Do Horns operate?

If Horns operate, go to step 2.

If Horns do not operate, check Fusible Link L. If Fusible Link L is open check circuits 2, 532 and 533 and 29 for a short to ground before
replacing the Fusible Link. Also check circuit 2 and circuit 1505 from 5114 to G102 for an open.
2. Measure the voltage to ground at Coolant Fan Relays 1, 2 and 3 connector (terminal 2) with the Ignition Switch in RUN.

If battery voltage is measured go to step 3.

If battery voltage is not measured at one or more relays, check circuit 350 for an open.
3. Check wiring to both Coolant Fans. Also check Coolant Fan terminal contact.

If wiring and terminal contact are OK, go to step 4.
^
If wiring or terminal contact is not OK, repair/replace as necessary.
4. Check circuits 535 and 536 for an open.
^
If both circuits are OK, refer to PCM Replacement Check.
^
If one or both circuits are not OK, repair/replace as necessary.
