REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Instrument Panel Door Latch Striker Removal Procedure

1. Open the Instrument Panel (I/P) compartment door.
2. Remove the striker covers.
3. Remove the bolts and the strikers from I/P compartment box.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Door Latch Striker Installation Procedure

1. Install the strikers to I/P compartment box secure with bolts.
2. Adjust the strikers to full forward position (with only move about 1/8 in) for proper engagement with latch mechanism.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts until fully seated but not striped.

3. Install the striker covers.
4. Close I/P compartment door verify smooth latch engagement. Reposition the strikers until smooth latch engagement is obtained if the I/P

compartment door requires excessive force to latch.
