Catera V6-3.0L VIN R (1997)
Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch: Description and Operation
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) pulls the Park/Neutral Position Signal circuit up to 12 volts in gear positions R, D, 3, 2, 1. The circuit voltage
is pulled low in P/N. The ECM monitors the circuit voltage in order to compensate for in-gear engine load. If the TCM detects a problem on this circuit,
DTC P1705 - Park/Neutral Position Signal Circuit will set.
