EVAP Vapor Lines/Hoses Replacement
Front
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors under Powertrain Management / Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Procedures under Powertrain Management / Service Precautions.
2. Loosen the fuel filler cap.
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
4. Remove the hardware retaining section of the line that you are replacing.

Observe the engine compartment front EVAP line routing for installation.

Observe the location of the attaching hardware for installation.
5. Remove the plastic shield covering the lines (center section under the body).
6. Disconnect the underbody quick connect fitting from the center EVAP vapor line. Refer to Quick-Connect Fittings.
7. Remove the front line from the attaching hardware.
8. Remove the right front fender well in order to gain access to the EVAP charcoal canister.
9. Disconnect the quick connect fitting at the charcoal canister. Refer to Quick-Connect Fittings.
10. Remove the line from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Remove the protective caps from the replacement line.
2. Install the front EVAP line.
3. Clean any contamination from the male line ends and apply a few drops of clean engine oil.
4. Reconnect a quick connect fitting to the EVAP charcoal canister.
5. Reinstall the right front fender well.
6. Reconnect the underbody quick connect fitting to the center section.
7. Install the retaining hardware.
8. Install the plastic shield over the lines (center section under body).
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
