Ignition Cable: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF,
unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also
disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
NOTE: Pull on the spark plug boot, the heat shield or use an approved spark plug boot removal tool, twisting a halt-turn to release the seal while
removing. Do not pull on the spark plug wire or it may be damaged.
Spark Plug Wire Harness Replacement: Removal Procedure
1. Remove the oil filler tube.
2. Remove the A/C compressor hose bracket bolt from engine.
3. Reposition the A/C compressor hose.
4. Remove the bolts from wiring harness channel.
5. Reposition the wiring harness channel.

6. Rotate the orange tool (1) from the storage position, and remove the spark plug boots from spark plugs.

7. Use the spark plug boot remover tool (1) attached to spark plug boot.
