Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
Sender/Switch Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 
2. Remove the air intake plenum.
3. Remove the intake manifold.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature sender/switch (2).
5. Remove the engine coolant temperature sender (2).

INSTALL OR CONNECT 

1. Install the engine coolant temperature sender (2). Tighten the sender to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the engine coolant temperature sender.
3. Install the intake manifold.
4. Install the air intake plenum.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Reprogram all accessories as necessary after connecting the battery.
