MODELS AFFECTED:
1986 CIMARRONS WITH 2.8L V-6 ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Some 1986 Cimarrons equipped with 2.8L V-6 engines and automatic transmissions may experience an engine stall, hesitation or an idle surge following
a cold start only.
To repair this condition, a service PROM has been developed and is available from GMSPO. Refer to the chart below for the correct PROM application:
