Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement - Vertical

Removal Procedure

Caution:  Refer toSIR Caution    in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer toSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7    for driver's seat orSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9    in SIR.
2. Remove the seat. Refer toSeat Replacement - Bucket   (See: Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the motor.

4. Remove the retaining bolt (2) from the vertical seat adjuster motor.
5. Lift the motor up and release it from slot (1) in the adjuster.
6. Remove the motor .

Installation Procedure

1. Install the vertical seat adjuster motor into the slot (1) on the adjuster.
2. Rotate the motor down and position the motor into the seat adjuster.

Notice:  Refer toFastener Notice    in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (88 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connectors.
5. Install the seat. Refer toSeat Replacement - Bucket   (See: Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer toSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7    for driver's seat orSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9    in SIR.
