Sound Barrier Replacement - Rear Seat Cushion to Floorpan
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer toSeat Back Replacement - Rear (See: Seats/Seat Back/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Seat
Back Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear upper body side garnish molding. Refer toGarnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Rear Upper (See: Interior Moulding /
Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Rear Upper) .
3. Remove the push-in (2) securing the sound barrier (1) to the wheelhouse panel.
4. Remove the rear wheelhouse sound barrier from the vehicle.
5. Remove the rear shoulder belts. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear in Seat Belts.
6. Remove the center rear shoulder belt. Refer toSeat Belt Retractor Replacement - Center Rear in Seat Belts.
7. Lift the rear floorpan sound barrier upward and pull outward in order to remove.
Installation Procedure
Caution: All floor pan insulator material must meet Federal Vehicle Safety Standards for flammability. Failure to do so could result in personal
injury and/or vehicle damage.
1. Position the sound barrier to the floorpan.
2. Position the sound barrier under the rear compartment trim.
