CTS V6-3.2L VIN N (2003)
Throttle Body: Description and Operation
The throttle body assembly consists of the throttle body, the throttle position (TP) sensors, and the throttle actuator motor. The throttle body functions
similar to a conventional throttle body with the following exceptions:
-
An electronic motor opens and closes the throttle valve.
-
There are 2 individual TP sensors within the throttle body assembly.
Two separate signal circuits are used to connect the TP sensors and the ECM. The TP sensor 1 signal voltage increases as the throttle opens. The TP
sensor 2 signal voltage decreases as the throttle opens.
