This condition may be due to the sealing strip outer coating absorbing water and causing the finish to change in appearance.

Correction

Important:

Due to the gloss level difference, all four side door window belt outer sealing strips should be replaced in order to maintain a consistent appearance.

Improved sealing strips have been put into production and are now available from GMSPO. Replace the side door window belt outer sealing strips. Refer
to Sealing Strip Replacement-Door Window Belt Outer-Front and Rear in the Doors sub-section of the Service Manual.
