Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer toFront Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove the door module. 
3. Remove the inside door handle. Refer toFront Side Door Inside Handle Replacement   (See: Front Door Handle/Front Door Interior

Handle/Service and Repair) .

4. Remove the push-in fasteners at the corners of the water deflector.
5. Remove the mirror wire harness retainer from the inner door panel.
6. Pull the water deflector away from the door, while guiding the inside door handle rod (1) through the opening (2), being careful not to damage the

sealer.

Installation Procedure

1. Clean the water deflector to the inner door panel mating surface with denatured alcohol or the equivalent.
2. Align the water deflector to the door assembly.
3. Route the inside door handle rod (1) through the opening (2) in the water deflector.
4. Install the push-in fasteners at the corners of the water deflector.
5. Seat the water deflector to the door using a rolling tool.
6. Install the inside door handle. Refer toFront Side Door Inside Handle Replacement   (See: Front Door Handle/Front Door Interior Handle/Service

and Repair) .

7. Install the door module. 
8. Install the door trim panel. Refer toFront Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
