Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement (Manual Trans Before VIN 40101964) 

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the brake pedal to cowl mounting nuts.

2. Remove the I/P carrier assembly, to gain access to the brake pedal assembly to I/P carrier mounting nuts.
3. Remove the brake pedal assembly to the I/P carrier mounting nuts (1).
4. Remove the brake pedal assembly (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the brake pedal assembly (2) to the I/P carrier.

2. Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the brake pedal assembly to I/P carrier mounting nuts.

Tighten the brake pedal assembly to I/P carrier mounting nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the I/P assembly.
4. Install the brake pedal assembly to cowl mounting nuts

Tighten the brake pedal assembly to cowl mounting nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

5. Recalibrate the brake pedal position sensor.
