Evaporative Emissions Hose: Service and Repair
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) HOSES/PIPES REPLACEMENT - ENGINE
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and EVAP Pipe Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Disconnect the vacuum supply line quick-connect fittings at the intake manifold and the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
3. Remove the vacuum supply EVAP pipe.
4. Cap the intake manifold pipe and the EVAP canister purge valve in order to prevent possible contamination.
5. Disconnect the EVAP engine purge pipe from the line connection (2) at the right rear cylinder head.
6. Disconnect the left bank coil electrical connection to gain access to the EVAP purge valve.
7. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the purge valve.
8. Remove the EVAP engine purge pipe from under the fuel rail.
