Shift Knob May Detach From Shifter Lever (Replace Shift Knob and Shift Control Assembly)

Built Prior To and Including VIN Breakpoint 60151860
Condition
Some customers may comment that the shift knob detaches from the shifter. This condition usually occurs during aggressive 1-2 shifts.
Cause
The cause of this condition may be due to the poor retention between the knob and the shift control.
Correction
Replace the shift knob with P/N 15229751 and the shift control assembly with P/N 15276076. This new knob and shift control assembly will provide
improved retention between the two components.
