Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important:  There is a binding effect on the power window motor drive when the window is in the fully closed or open position.

1. Partially open the window, if possible.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer toFront Side Door Trim Panel Replacement  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front

Door/Front Door Panel/Service and Repair.

3. Remove the water deflector. Refer toFront Side Door Water Deflector Replacement  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front

Door/Front Door Panel/Service and Repair.

4. Remove the screws (1) securing the power window motor to the window regulator.
5. Remove the power window motor.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the power window motor to the window regulator.

Notice:  Refer toFastener Notice   in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the power window motor to regulator screws (1).

Tighten the window motor screws to 4 Nm (62 lb in).

3. Install the water deflector. Refer toFront Side Door Water Deflector Replacement  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front

4. Install the door trim panel. Refer toFront Side Door Trim Panel Replacement  See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front
