Windshield Washer Spray Nozzle: Description and Operation
HEATED WASHER NOZZLES W/XA7
Vehicles equipped with XA7 utilize heated washer nozzles. The heated washers nozzles are current limiting and are always ON when the ignition switch
is in the RUN position. When the ignition switch is in the RUN position, voltage is supplied to the coil side of the IGN-1 relay closing the relay switch
side contacts. When the IGN-1 relay switch side contacts close, voltage is supplied through the WASH NOZ 10A fuse to the heated washer nozzles. This
helps prevent the washer fluid from freezing at the washer nozzles in extreme cold environments.
