CTS V8-6.0L (2007)
3. Install the oil drain plug (430) with O-ring (429) to the engine block.
Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Fill the crankcase with the proper quantity and grade of engine oil. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid and Fluid and Lubricant
Recommendations.
6. Operate the engine, check for leaks and oil pressure.
7. With the engine OFF, remove the oil level indicator.
8. Wipe the indicator with a clean cloth.
9. Install the oil level indicator.
10. Remove the oil level indicator in order to check the level.
11. Add oil if necessary.
12. Reset the engine oil life monitor. Refer to GM Oil Life System Resetting. See: Service Reminder Indicators/Oil Change Reminder Lamp/Service
