CTS RWD V6-3.6L (2008)
2. Install the front shock assembly upper mounting bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 112 N.m (83 lb ft).
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Install the upper control arm to the steering knuckle.
5. Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle retaining nut.
Tighten the nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
Important: Step 6 is for RWD vehicles only.
6. Install the lower mounting bolts for the shock absorber.
Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Important: Step 7 is for AWD vehicles only.
7. Install the shock to the shock absorber yoke. Refer to Front Shock Absorber Yoke Replacement (See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service
and Repair/Front Suspension Shock Absorber/Front Shock Absorber Yoke Replacement) .
8. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
9. Lower the vehicle.
