5. Remove the brake caliper bleeder valve cap (1) and bleeder valve (2).
6. Clean the brake caliper piston bore with denatured alcohol, or equivalent.
7. Inspect the caliper bore for cracks, scoring, pitting and excessive corrosion.
8. If light corrosion is present in the caliper bore, remove the corrosion with emery cloth, or equivalent.
9. If excessive corrosion exists that cannot be removed, replace the brake caliper.
Assembly Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
1. Install the brake caliper bleeder valve cap (1) and bleeder valve (2) and tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb in).
