Special Tools 

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the charge air cooling system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)   (See: Procedures/Charge Air Cooling

System Draining and Filling (Static))Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)   (See: Procedures/Charge Air Cooling System
Draining and Filling (GE 47716)).

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Air Dam/Service

and Repair/Front Air Deflector Replacement)

4. Reposition the charge air cooler hose clamp (1) at the charge air cooler usingJ 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
5. Remove the charge air cooler hose (2) from the charge air cooler.
