15. Remove the steering gear nuts and bolts (1).
16. Remove the steering gear from the front frame.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the steering gear to the front frame.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution)
2. Install the steering gear nuts and bolts (1) and tighten to 85 Nm (63 lb ft).
3. Slowly lower the vehicle on the hoist while keeping the front frame aligned with the left and right side engine mounts.
4. Start the engine mount bolts by hand.
5. Install the front frame bolts. Refer to Front Frame Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (See: Suspension/Subframe/Front Subframe/Service and

6. Torque the engine mount bolts. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side (RWD) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts,
